Our history began in 1930 when the original diner was delivered by truck to Honesdale, Pennslyvania and was situated on an empty lot at 920 Main Street. The incorporation of the "railroad car look" and use of the word diner were efforts by manufacturers to streamline designs identified with speed and efficience. They enlarged and renovated the structure which now houses our home, Scarfalloto's Towne House Diner.
The Scarfalloto family has been preparing and serving food in Wayne County, PA for over 40 years. In 2010 we purchased the present establishment and then added our pizza ovens in 2013. In addition to our full, in house menu, we now offer traditional and gourmet pizza, catering trays, and fresh baked breads and desserts.
